The Lin lighting collection was inspired by and named for environmental artist Maya Lin's 2001 work, Ecliptic, in which the locations of stars were envisioned as points of light embedded in a concrete floor. Taking cues from the night sky in abstraction — and paying homage to traditional punched tin lighting inspired by Muhly's Texas heritage — the Lin Table Lamp creates a starry-night effect by illuminating light through a hand-punched metal form. Designed with built-in versatility, a trio of switches allow for it to be lit at the top, bottom, or both. (Lamp uses two 10W LEDs, bulbs included, max wattage 120V. Cannot be UL listed. Wired for the US only)
