A hybrid art piece and uplighter floor lamp, Totem looks to the ideas of Brancusi — in particular his play with how the base incorporates into the rest of the sculpture. The Totem, which also took inspiration from Italian mid-century glass lamps, experiments with the effect of stacking and repeated shapes to make an architectural, column-like form. The molded paper-pulp shade and base is hand-painted in a choice of three plain finishes. Paper pulp is a natural material with its own idiosyncrasies and imperfections. The highly tactile surface created by the pulp is an eco-friendly equivalent to ceramic or plaster.
Bulb not included — the lamp uses any LED bulb with a dimmable E26 base, max wattage 15W. LED bulbs are required with these lights as they are made of natural materials that could be affected by heat from an incandescent.
